☀️School is out for summer, but our teachers are still learning! Our educators are engaged in intensive professional development to further refine their instructional expertise in preparation for the new school year.
Mrs. Peters and Ms. Lepage recently participated in the Summer Literacy Institute Conference in Orlando, where they acquired valuable insights to enhance literacy instruction.
Meanwhile, Ms. Falls and Mrs. Erickson attended the BSIS Big Math training, further developing their understanding of mathematical standards to optimize student learning outcomes.☀️

We are thankful for Officer Piper and all the other SROs in BDS. They deserve a nice long break too! ☀️
Another school year is officially in the books, and our School Resource Deputies survived countless car line battles, confiscated enough vapes to stock a small convenience store, and answered approximately 47 million “Can I go to the nurse?” requests.
To our incredible SRDs: Thank you for building relationships, keeping our schools safe, mentoring students, and being a positive presence on campus every single day. We are proud of the work you do for the students, staff, and families of Bay County.
To all students, parents, and school staff: have a safe, fun, and well-deserved summer break. Please make good choices so our SRDs don’t have to learn your names again before August. ☀️🚔
