Bacot Academy is a non-profit, private, Christian school for children with Autism and related disabilities. We are fully accredited with the Florida Coalition of Christian and Private Schools Accreditation (FCCPSA), and we provide year-round specialized education based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as well as B.F. We were established to fulfill the needs of children who require

individualized and unique programs. Today, we are approaching our fourteenth year and continue to thrive and see progress for all of our students. All of our programs emphasize functional communication as it is the foundation that supports the development of skills in all areas.

A huge THANK YOU to Panama City Rescue Mission and Ms. Spooner for their generous donation of so many school supplies! Your kindness and support mean so much to our students and staff, and we are truly thankful. They will go to good use!

We also want to give a very special THANK YOU to Ms. Harris for donating a wonderful collection of games and fidgets for our classrooms! 🎲🧩💙 Our students are going to get so much use and enjoyment out of them!

✏️Day One with Our New SMART Boards! ✏️

Our new SMART Boards are officially up and running, and we’re already putting them to good use! It’s so exciting to see our students interacting with their lessons in new ways and our teachers bringing even more hands-on, engaging learning into the classroom.

We are incredibly grateful to the The St. Joe Community Foundation, Inc. for the generous grant that made it possible to bring new SMART Boards into five of our classrooms. This investment in our school is an investment in our students, giving them new opportunities to learn, participate, collaborate, and grow.

We can’t wait to see all the ways our students and teachers continue to use these amazing new tools throughout the school year!

Our first day back was a wonderful success! The smiles, excitement, laughter, and energy reminded us just how special our Bacot family truly is.

As we begin this new school year, we are especially excited to watch our students grow through our three core values:

💙 Confidence — believing in themselves and all they are capable of.
💛 Compassion — showing kindness, understanding, and care for others.
🐺 Unity — learning that we are stronger when we encourage, support, and work together.

After a quiet summer, our halls are full of life again. 👩‍🏫 We’ve missed the presence of our incredible teachers. The laughter they bring, the smiles they share, the encouragement they give. It already feels a little more like home with them back where they belong.

Today officially kicks off preparations for the 2026–2027 school year! Our teachers are busy creating welcoming classrooms, planning meaningful lessons, and getting everything ready for another amazing year at Bacot Academy. We can’t wait to welcome our students and families back very soon! 💙🐺

Today, we celebrate 250 years of freedom, courage, and opportunity. As we honor our nation's history, we are especially thankful for the blessings of living, learning, and growing in the home of the free because of the brave.
At Bacot Academy, we are grateful for the opportunity to provide a Christ-centered education where every child is valued, encouraged, and empowered to reach their God-given potential.

What a fantastic way to wrap up an amazing school year! Today our students enjoyed an exciting trip to Blacklight Forest Golf, where they had a blast playing mini golf, spending time with friends, and making memories together.

Days like today remind us that some of the best learning happens through shared experiences, building friendships, and simply having fun together. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate the end of another wonderful year at Bacot Academy!

Yesterday was a wonderful day as we celebrated our students during our End-of-Year Awards Ceremony!

We are so proud of all the hard work, growth, and accomplishments our students have achieved this year. It was a joy to recognize their efforts and celebrate their successes with our families and staff. Here are a few photos!

Yesterday, we had the honor of celebrating our students during our Award Ceremony and Graduation Day. It was a wonderful day filled with pride, joy, and recognition of all the hard work, determination, and accomplishments our students have achieved throughout this school year.

We are incredibly proud of our Kindergarten graduates as they prepare to move up to the next stage of their educational journey. Watching them grow in confidence, knowledge, and independence has been such a blessing, and we cannot wait to see all they accomplish in the years ahead.

To our graduating seniors, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey. It has been a privilege to watch you grow into the remarkable young adults you are today. While we will miss seeing your faces in our halls, we are excited to see where life takes you next. We know that each of you has the ability to do amazing things, and we look forward to watching your future successes unfold.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our families, staff, and supporters who have encouraged and guided our students every step of the way. Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of how much can be accomplished when we work together.

📖A Year of Memories Captured Forever! 📖

Today was an exciting day at Bacot Academy as our students received their 2025-2026 yearbooks and spent time sharing signatures, messages, and memories with their friends.

There is something truly special about watching students flip through the pages and relive all of the moments that made this school year unforgettable. We hope these books become keepsakes that our students will cherish for years to come and enjoy looking back on as they grow older.

A very special thank you goes to Ms. Ashley and Ms. Kay for the countless hours they dedicated to designing, organizing, and putting together such a beautiful yearbook.

We are so proud of all that our students accomplished this year and are grateful to have these memories preserved forever. 🐺💙
