Congratulations to former Buccaneer Ruby Tilghman, this years Miss Alabama!!!

Tilghman, 22, from Panama City, Fla., is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She will represent Alabama at Miss America.

Congratulations to our Haven Fishing Club kiddos who were recognized at last week’s Bay Haven Board of Directors meeting. This was a fantastic fishing season and we are so proud of our Bay Haven and North Bay Haven anglers and their families for taking the time to get out on the water, for catching some amazing fish, and for making some lifelong memories! ☀️🐟🎣 Congrats to all of our individual winners for receiving medals for catching the biggest fish in their division, and congrats to our Anglers of the Year: MS Girls Division Evelyn Troutman, ELEM Girls Division Ella Pitts, MS Boys Division Daven D***s and ELEM Boys Division Nolan Barnes!! Again, from all of the staff from both schools, congrats and thank you parents!! We’ll start season 6 this upcoming Labor Day Weekend, watch for registration later in July! 💙🖤🐟🎣☀️💙💛

NBH has entered the Friday Night 5G Lights contest! They're celebrating small-town high school football, giving upgrades to schools and awarding a $1 million game-changing grand prize. It could be Bay Haven Athletics-Panama City, FL! Learn more at www.fridaynight5Glights.com.

NBHMS Middle School Beginning Band and director Mrs. Bell recently wrapped up the annual Band Olympics, and what an incredible way to end the school year!

Students teamed up, created their own team flags, showed off their creativity, and competed in a variety of fun and challenging musical events including:
• Longest Note Challenge
• Most Range Competition
• Fastest to 100 Notes
• Note Naming in 2 Minutes
• Name That Tune (buzzing only on the mouthpiece!)
• Last Man Standing – playing the piece correctly under pressure
• Chair Speed Stack
• Air Support Challenge

Throughout the competition, students demonstrated teamwork, musicianship, focus, determination, and all the skills they learned throughout the year!

Winners were announced and medals were awarded through our awards platform, making the competition even more exciting for our students. Events like this remind us that music education is about so much more than performance, it’s about building confidence, leadership, friendships, and lifelong memories.

We are so proud of all of our band students for their hard work and dedication this year. What an outstanding way to celebrate an amazing school year at NBHMS Band!




North Bay Haven Band

North Bay Haven Middle School successfully launched its first NBHMS Water and Fun Day as part of our schoolwide PBIS end-of-year celebrations! Students enjoyed water slides, bounce houses and engaging activities that recognized their hard work, positive behavior, leadership, and commitment throughout the school year.

The event served as a culminating celebration of our PBIS program and highlighted the positive school culture being built across campus. Students also continued to enjoy the PBIS School Store last week, where PBIS coins earned through positive behavior, responsibility, and academic effort could be used for rewards and incentives.

We are proud of our students and thankful to our staff for helping create such a fun and memorable day for everyone!
