Today is Sierra’s last day with us at the Early Learning Center. While we’re certainly saddened to see her go, we are grateful for her years of faithful service and the many positive changes she’s brought to our program.

SCHOOL CLOSURE UPDATE – THURSDAY, JANUARY 23! 🚨

The Florida Panhandle has experienced a truly historic snowfall, bringing conditions that most of us have never seen before. With freezing temperatures returning overnight, the risk of icy, unsafe roads remains high—especially on secondary routes. For the safety of our students, teachers, staff, and families, all Bay District Schools will remain closed on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

Emergency management officials are urging everyone to stay home as much as possible and stay off the roads to ensure everyone’s safety. While primary roads may improve, secondary roads will remain hazardous, especially in the early morning hours when temperatures are at their lowest.

This decision was made in coordination with local officials, keeping safety as our top priority. By announcing this now, we hope to give everyone time to plan accordingly and, most importantly, to stay off the roads as much as possible.

We know this winter storm is one for the history books, and we hope you continue to enjoy this rare experience while staying safe and warm. We will continue to share updates as needed. ❄️☃️

Due to the anticipated earlier arrival of wintry weather on Tuesday, we are closing all schools/offices on both Tuesday and Wednesday to ensure the safety of our students and staff. We will continue to monitor local conditions as the storm passes through. At this time, we anticipate reopening schools on Thursday, but we will provide an official update to the community on Wednesday.
