Pre-Law? FSU PC is pre-pared! ⚖️ Today, students from the FSU Panama City Pre-Law Club hosted a First Amendment Debate for the local community. This event invited Director of FSU Law School’s First Amendment Clinic, Denise Harle, and local Stone & Stutton attorney Michel L. Stone to discuss the controversial Chiles v. Salazar case, which questioned the constitutionality of conversion therapy. To learn more, join the Pre-Law Club today!

Across the offices of Engagement, Student Affairs, and Advancement, we’re celebrating our student workers for National Student Worker Appreciation Week. Our campus is empowered by these hardworking Noles!

With our unique location on the Gulf, engineering students have the opportunity to take their talents to the annual Gulf Coast Salute Air Show. This one-of-a-kind tradition brings the U.S. Airforce, Red Line Airshows, and Misty Blues Parachute Team to our backyard in Panama City Beach. We hope to see you next year ✈️🚀!

This Thursday, students from the Spanish Club, Muslim Student Association (MSA), and Rotaract Club worked together to host the Culture Festival in the Holley Atrium. Activities included “Pin the Tail on the Donkey”, Dominos, henna, Arabic name-writing and more! Special thanks to the wonderfully active organizations who helped put this event together 🌍

Last night, FSU Panama City students were invited to the Student Leadership Awards in Tallahassee, FL. Brent Cerney, Krieg Conrad, College of Applied Studies student Alyssa Howell and College of Applied Studies Social Media Specialist Jennifer Giraldo were nominated for awards recognizing campus leadership, with Brent Cerney bringing home the “Prime Example Student of the Year” award 🏆.

Last week, FSU College of Applied Studies faculty member Dr. Brian Parker met with students from the Professional Communication program to play a game called “The Last Straw”. This game encouraged students to create more engaging versions of campus signs (such as STOP signs and DDS rules) to challenge their persuasion skills. The 14th Annual Auction for Autism Awareness is raising money tonight for scholarships to help pay for services for young clients. This year is also the 25th anniversary of the founding of our Early Childhood Autism Program (ECAP) 🧩
