Today, I was honored and surprised to receive my first challenge coin. This moment was especially meaningful because it was presented to me by a first grader who is also a military child.

April, the Month of the Military Child, we honor the sacrifices and challenges faced by children of military families. To every military child in our school system: we see you, we value you, and we thank you. Your sacrifices matter, and your presence enriches our schools in countless ways.
