The 2A Rally asks our fellow American Gun Owners to remain peaceful during the next few weeks as tensions are high and many citizens have sincere concerns about the current and future state of our Nation. Responsible Gun Owners know that violence is an act of last resort, not to be engaged in out of anger or frustration.

All Gun Owners should consider how their actions might negatively affect our movement. Anyone who feels compelled to protest over the course of the next week should take advantage of their First Amendment Rights lawfully and respectfully. We believe that peaceful protest should be focused on demonstrating strong support for a cause and educational advocacy, not intimidation, towards those one hopes to influence.

Our community has challenges ahead and work to be done. We intend to be back at the US Capitol Building in the fall, peacefully and respectfully assembled to share the thoughts and perspectives of another group of Second Amendment Community Leaders... and we hope you will consider joining us!

I don’t know about “worst”... but, it is gonna be impossible for his apologists to defend him. He’s definitely the biggest flop in regard to the promises he made.

I just hope they stop trying after he’s out. Still, I think a lot of people’s egos will get in the way of them being honest about how wrong they were to build him up the way they did.

I’m standing by for the “yeah, you were right, Rob.” texts and DMs though... just in case. 😉

It was enough to just say “better than Hillary”, he didn’t need to get lionized as some kind of 2A Hero that he clearly never was and was never gonna be. And, yes, it does reflect on your judgement if you pushed that angle for the last 4 years.

I’ve heard all the “two ATFs” and “They can’t be fired” retorts too... the least he could do is Tweet about it, if he really cared, but: Nuthin’.

(And, you can hold on the “but he stacked da courts” comments... we’ve just seen how well that worked out for him.)

“Pro-2A, but...”

This pick was never going to be about the Second Amendment... and the likely choice, Amy Barrett, certainly isn’t about gun rights. She has written one dissent that, on it’s surface, is “pro-gun”. She found no historical evidence for banning guns from convicted felons, which she used as the basis for her dissent. Keep in mind that there is plenty of “historical evidence” that not everyone had the right to own guns (or vote, for that matter...) in this country. She places high value on early interpretations of The Constitution, and has stated that current 2A law is new, references the recent was of Heller and McDonald.
Her SCOTUS mentor was Scalia, who gave us the Heller opinion acknowledging “restrictions” on our gun rights were acceptable.
She has also said that she believes someone who *might* present a danger should have their gun rights restricted (“red flag” laws).

If you like Freedom and Liberty more than you like “conservatism”, you should not be excited about Amy Barrett. If you’re a one issue voter on guns, you should be concerned.
