FIFA World Cup is taking a major step toward accessibility by providing sign language interpretation for every match, including American Sign Language (ASL) and Mexican Sign Language (Lengua de Señas Mexicana, or LSM).
Beyond sign language access, fans will also benefit from audio-descriptive commentary for blind and low-vision spectators, sensory rooms and sensory bags, haptic devices that translate match action into tactile feedback, mobility assistance services, accessible seating, captioning, and enhanced accessibility features within the tournament app. Accessibility helps ensure more fans can experience the excitement of the world's biggest sporting event.
