🌟The KES School Board is excited to welcome John Simadis ’10 🌟
We are proud to introduce John Simadis, Koraes Class of 2010, who is honored to give back to the school and community that played such an important role in shaping who he is today.
A proud second-generation Koraes graduate, John’s connection to Koraes and SS. Constantine & Helen runs deep. After Koraes, he attended Lemont High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2018. Today, he serves as a Project Manager at Turner Construction Company.
For John, however, Koraes provided much more than an academic foundation.
“Koraes taught me integrity, a strong work ethic, and—most importantly—how to be a proud and practicing Orthodox Christian.”
John credits Koraes’ small classroom environment, dedicated teachers and clergy, and hands-on approach with creating a place where he always felt genuinely cared for and supported. The Greek culture and Orthodox faith instilled in him through Koraes and SSCH remain guiding principles in both his personal and professional life.
With multiple generations of his family having passed through Koraes, John understands the important role our school plays not only in educating students, but also in strengthening families, preserving our faith and heritage, and building a strong Orthodox Christian community.
Now, as a member of the Koraes School Board, John looks forward to sharing his experience and helping ensure that Koraes continues to be a transformational and developmental experience for generations to come.
