🎉 Camp Kalokairaki Day 5 – The Sweetest Grand Finale! 🍪

What an incredible final day and an unforgettable week at Camp Kalokairaki! ❤️
Today the kids dove into Greek tradition by learning how to make melomakarona – one of the most beloved Greek cookies! They discovered the beautiful story behind them, rolled up their sleeves to make them from scratch, and of course… enjoyed every delicious bite! 😋

We wrapped up the week with lots of laughter, fun games, and a special Happy Birthday sing-along for our two wonderful teachers! The kids cherished their time together, already talking about coming back next year for more cooking adventures and memories.

Every camper went home with:

• A beautiful certificate of completion

• A full recipe booklet with all the dishes we made during the week

• Information about our Greek School programs starting in September!

Thank you to all the amazing families who joined us this week. Watching the kids learn, create, and fall in love with Greek culture has been such a joy!

Camp Kalokairaki Day 3!!! 🌿🍅🔥
What an incredible day!
Today’s menu was a Greek classic: Briami! 🍆🥔🫑
We dove deep into the world of harvesting, traditional food preservation, and how our ancestors chose and enjoyed their food long before supermarkets and online orders. Then it was time for action! The kids sliced fresh vegetables, marinated everything with love, and filled the air with the amazing aromas of herbs and spices.
The result? The most delicious, fragrant briami that disappeared so fast… some pans actually came home completely empty! 😂👏
These kids are not just cooking, they’re connecting with real food and real traditions!
Can’t wait for Day 4… it’s going to be even more exciting! ✨

What a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and the best kind of comfort food!
On today’s menu: classic Greek meatballs with French fries. That unmistakable smell that instantly takes you back to childhood memories in every Greek household. We talked about all the warm feelings this simple, beloved meal brings, and it was pure joy!
The rest of the day was packed with fun crafts 🎨, games, and lots of giggles. The highlight? Celebrating the 6th birthday of two incredible twins! 🎉
