Over the years of teaching about dementia, and through owning my CNA school, one thing has become very clear to me: people learn in different ways. Some thrive online, while others do best learning face-to-face. That’s exactly why I’m offering five different dementia care seminars this year, both in-person and virtual, so you can choose what works best for you.

Today I had the pleasure of returning to Advocate Christ Hosptal in Oak Lawn to present one of our newer continuing education programs on personality assessments.
The program was very well received, but I wanted participants to do more than simply learn the content. I wanted them to experience it. Through a Personality Speed Dating exercise, participants had the opportunity to connect with coworkers, learn more about one another, and gain a deeper appreciation for the unique strengths each person brings to the team.
The room was filled with laughter, conversation, and meaningful interaction. The biggest takeaway was that understanding your personality is not just about self-awareness. It is about recognizing your value, improving communication, strengthening relationships, and becoming a more effective leader and teammate.
