Revisiting a study where researchers followed a group of veterans experiencing homelessness who were overdue for colorectal or breast cancer screening. Within two years, roughly half secured stable housing.

Screening rates were then compared between veterans who obtained housing and those who remained homeless, finding that veterans experiencing homelessness who gained housing were more likely to get cancer screenings.
