We just finished teaching our first batch of summer students last week. 100 students built 14 amazing products in just 3 weeks. We’re excited to showcase their hard work to you, starting with:
Can AI predict basketball game results?
Watch their demo to see if the AI can predict the winner of the 2022-23 season, Nuggets or Heat?
- Our students combined statistics, matchups, and total wins data to gain valuable insights into team performance.
- They utilized visualizations like bar graphs, heat maps, and histograms to uncover meaningful patterns and correlations in the data.
- Leveraging AI models such as K-nearest neighbors, random forest, and neural networks, our students compared these models to see which one had the best predictive capabilities.
- Despite challenges posed by the volatility of NBA games, the students achieved promising results, with the random forest model resulting in the highest score.
- Our students created an impressive website showcasing their findings, including an interactive team matchup predictor.
