At Living Wisdom School, every graduating student receives a Quality Award, a reflection of a special strength or quality they demonstrated throughout the year.

Teachers thoughtfully select each quality, and students share what it means to them in their own words. These reflections are always one of the most meaningful parts of graduation.

A few days at Pinnacles can do a lot for a middle school group.

These trips give students a chance to step outside their usual routines, take on more responsibility, and discover they’re capable of more than they thought. Somewhere between setting up camp, cooking together, hiking, laughing around the fire, and even cleaning out the van afterward, something shifts. The group becomes more connected, more cooperative, and more aware of how their energy affects one another.

And yes, they also had a lot of fun. Which is usually how the best kind of growth happens.

Before we get to math, we start with the kids themselves.
Our 4th & 5th graders begin the day by moving their bodies, getting the wiggles out, and settling their energy. By the time they sit down in the classroom, they’re calmer, clearer, and ready to learn.

It’s a simple rhythm, but it makes a real difference.

Theater Magic is more than a performance—it’s a core part of our curriculum. For an entire term, students step into the life of an extraordinary figure, bringing history, art, and self-expression together on stage.

This year’s production tells the story of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., and the deeper strength that guided the Civil Rights Movement.

These moments capture what happens when students don’t just study history—they live it.

Our beloved science teacher and friend, Yudhistira, has passed away.

Today, we honored his life in a way that reflects what he gave so naturally—care, presence, and connection. Together, we planted a tree in our garden, creating a place where his memory will continue to live and grow among us.

With rose petals, song, and quiet gratitude, we celebrated the love he shared with our students and our community. Go with Love ❤️🕊️

This isn’t your typical children’s play.

For 33 years, Living Wisdom students dedicate and entire term to bringing great lives from history to the stage. Theater Magic is a whole-school production where students collaborate on everything from acting and blocking to costumes, set design, and stagecraft.

This tradition of honoring inspiring figures is central to our school’s curriculum. In recent years, our productions have explored the lives of the Buddha, Harriet Tubman, Krishna, George Washington Carver, Hafiz, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, among many others.

The project becomes part of the curriculum itself. History, language, art, and creative expression all come together as students immerse themselves in the life and message of the person they are portraying.

This year’s production tells the story of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. and the courage, conviction, and spiritual strength behind the Civil Rights Movement.

When the curtain rises, you’ll see months of collaboration, creativity, and students bringing an extraordinary life to the stage.

Come experience Strength to Love with us.

Playmakers at work. 🎨 Our kindergartners create in an environment designed for calm focus — soft music, the gentle sound of a fountain, and all the space they need to imagine. This is learning that feels like peace. 🌸✨
