After 21 years, Crescent Park closed it’s doors for good yesterday.

Finding the right words to convey the immense sadness of this fact seems impossible, so instead, I’ll say this--

Thank you—to the families and community members who entrusted us with your precious miracles over the last 21 years. Because of you, we were able to live out a dream. Children were able to play and bask in the magic of their childhoods in a space that was designed for their imagination to run wild.

While our doors have closed, the memories made here will transcend time and space and remain in the hearts of those who created them—forever. You can share your stories of your time at CP by visiting our website, which will remaing up and running for a bit longer.

If nothing else, please never forget that childhood is magic, and children are miracles.

Big news!! Crescent Park is going kinder! Join us for the 2020-2021 school year.

Our TK-Kindergarten is designed to expose children to a rich Language Arts/Social-Emotional Program where math, science, art & social studies are integrated into an inquiry-based framework. Classes will be held for stable groups of 8-12 children in the beautiful Outdoor Classrooms at Crescent Park running 8:30AM-3PM during the 10 month academic school year.

Research out of Vanderbilt University suggests that young children can’t learn from screens, even from an interactive video, because they are unable to understand that the person on the screen is real, relevant and represents an actual adult (we know this as symbolic thought/representational thinking--which is developed later in childhood). Face-to-face interaction and engagement with caring adults remains #1!
