Walking into the weekend like...
DON’T EXPECT PEOPLE TO NOTICE YOU WHEN YOU ACTIVELY TRY TO HIDE IN THE BACKGROUND. The most frustrated people I meet are the ones who find it hard to communicate what they want from their career, their managers, their colleagues and the people they work with. The more they try to stay invisible the more they feel bitter about their current situation.
YOU don’t have to be like that… If your boss does not know you want a promotion, then they will not consider you for it. If you want to take lead on a project the team will not know if you hide and try to stay invisible. You can get what you want if you stop trying to be invisible and communicate what you want! 👊

I hated this topic. Actually it was painful when I went through this with my coach.
My constant need of being told you’re doing well, you’re on the right track. It take's guts to admit that you have that feeling, I know because it was painful for me to admit it.
I also see it in the women I coach. They have a need to feel significant and they matter and are loved. And time and time again it comes down to self-esteem.
That's right. Self-esteem.
‘What I ain’t got self-esteem issues. I’m good, I am all good. I am smashing it. I haven't got self-esteem issues.'
Here is the truth... If you find yourself needing validation, there might be some parts that you were not even aware of.
So instead of asking yourself is this good enough? Tell yourself you’ve done well; you’re doing well, and acknowledge yourself.
Before seeking validation from others, validate yourself! 💪 💪 💪

anyone else have their hay fever eye drops next you 24 hours a day?
Did you think you would smash all your goals in your 30s?
Most of us spend our early twenties setting goals and when we don't we let them go thinking we have failed.
If this global pandemic has showed us anything, it's that we literally have no control over what is about to happen. So here is what i think, stop using your age as a deadline, stop comparing yourself to what others have achieved so far (you don't know what their journey is), and remember we have our own journey.
Never let your age limit what you want to do.
Start now!
If you want to know more go to my website and let's talk (link in my comments).
Second guessing your abilities, lacking confidence, not knowing your value... they all keep you from living up to your full potential.
It can be so easy to get stuck in a rut with our usual routine even though you know you have that niggling feeling DEEP DOWN that you're capable of so much more!
So how do challenge yourself and get inspiration when you realise you're not living up to your potential?
Know your worth!

Introducing Missy Elliott – This lady made me feel comfortable to be outside the box.
She made the black bin bag a fashion statement. I used to watch her rap the most amazing lyrics and do it with confidence. We embodied a weird, animated side of femininity which proved that femininity is not limited to a narrow reference of what is socially acceptable. With her funky hip hop soundtracks and her black feminist messages was my path to the truth.
A woman with a body whom society deems as too big, skin too dark, who wore a black shiny bodysuit that expanded on these notions. I stared in wonder at this woman who amplified the qualities that made her unique with confidence, who used her style, makeup, and music to reject Western beauty standards. She defined her own standard of beauty by being a boss.
Missy, I salute and thank you for being around when I was not feeling confident.

In Brene Brown’s book Daring Greatly, she talks about how we spend our lives waiting until we are perfect or even bulletproof before we walk into the arena. We can wait for so long that we ultimately sacrifice potential opportunities, waste our precious time, turn our backs on our gifts and deny the world the unique contributions that only we can make.
Here is the thing about having confidence - you have to be both vulnerable and brave. It is only when we are truly open we can embrace opportunities without this idea of needing to be perfect.

If you are ready to raise your confidence here are some tips:
Mindset: How do you think about yourself?
You must believe that you are worthy and capable to have what you desire. Make an inventory of all your past successes, this could be writing in a journal or a mailbox folder. Document every success you have had, whether it is in your personal life or career, and make a point of looking at it regularly. This also helps just before an important meeting or presentation.
Visualise the type of person you want to become. Want the confidence to go for that promotion? Think about how you would act, feel and look once you get it. Be in the moment and engage all your five senses.

Above are just a few examples of how to raise your confidence but on Thursday 27th I will be hosting a workshop where I will be exploring even more tips and tricks to help you to raise your confidence. You have the choice to spend your life watching from the sidelines at people going for the opportunities you want, or you could gain the skills to have the confidence to step into the arena and live the life you have always dreamed of.
