IFTF’s mission is to build capacity to help create more resilient and equitable futures. We believe that the future must be participatory. Effective foresight is not a solitary academic exercise; it is an act of collective imagination, co-creation, and "urgent optimism" that empowers leaders to navigate the chaos and uncertainty of today.

That’s why IFTF’s Jake Dunagan traveled to Singapore last September to join 20+ futurists, experts, and leaders from around the world to co-create a set of provocative forecasts to map how current global fragmentation will reshape political systems, migration, currencies, energy, technology, and international relations over the next decade.

IFTF is thrilled to support this release, 10 Forecasts: From One Game to Many Games. It was produced by the 10F Consortium, with support by the Tingari Silverton Foundation, and is paired with some strategic positioning tools designed to help organizations respond to global attacks on civil society. By democratizing the tools of foresight, everyone can co-create a better future together. Read the forecasts here: https://www.10fconsortium.org/

We recently became aware that a donations page was created by GoFundMe for IFTF. This was done without IFTF knowledge, consent, or verification and contains inaccurate information. Thousands of other Bay Area nonprofits have found themselves in a similar situation (https://lnkd.in/gKuztTkH). IFTF has has reached out to GoFundMe with a request to take the page down.

If you wish to donate to IFTF this is a link to our donations page. https://lnkd.in/gWdH7jte

The new book "Navigating the Age of Chaos," from IFTF Distinguished Fellows Bob Johansen and Jamais Cascio, along with United Way Worldwide CEO Angela Williams, introduces a new way of thinking about our future and how we can best engage with accelerating upheaval. It offers a lens through which we can identify the various ways in which our present and future chaos will manifest, allowing us to recognize and focus on possible paths forward through that chaos.
Leaders need better language to make sense out of a world that is changing in ways that the old terminology can no longer capture. The BANI framework—Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible—is that new language. It helps us describe what’s going on and explore better alternatives.
