Welch Tutoring Service I am a dyslexia consultant and screener, and I also tutor children and adults with dyslexia using the Barton Reading and Spelling System.

I am a certified tutor in the Barton Reading and Spelling System, an Orton- Gillingham based system to teach reading and spelling to dyslexic children and adults. I am also a former elementary school teacher, certified K-9. I taught second grade for three years until I became a mother. I have been homeschooling my own children for the past 16 years.

This is what success looks like.

Many public schools in Arkansas are providing Barton tutoring "with fidelity" -- which means exactly as required by the developer of the program.

McCoy Public School in McCrory, Arkansas shared these before and after scores for a 9th grader.

What a difference 8 months of Barton tutoring made !!!!

Just had another student complete the 10th level of Barton! Congrats to him and his family for all their dedication getting him here 3 times a week for 3 years. Kudos to him for all of his hard work. 🎉👍📕

Last day of summer tutoring. Makes me sad. It means school is starting soon. I love my summer tutoring sessions. It is so wonderful to get to work with these kids one on one, where it is quiet, and the only interruptions are from a cute dog or kitty cat that needs to be petted. 🐾
