Brandon Cadena took out two world class black belts in the absolute going 2-0 before having to pull out due to injury taking bronze in the absolute!

Another school year is here. 📚🍎

Tonight is Meet the Teacher Night, and we want to wish all of our North River families an amazing start to the year!

Whether your child is stepping into kindergarten or heading back with confidence, we hope this school year is filled with growth, new friendships, and unforgettable memories.

When that final bell rings, we’ll be here to keep the learning going.

Our After School Program gives kids a safe place to:

Kids Competition Training – Led by Josh Leduc

I’ve really been enjoying working with the kids again and the growth in the room definitely shows it. I’ve been asked a bunch about private lessons, so I wanted to put something together that’s affordable and will bring a ton of value.

I’m excited to announce a new Kids Competition Training program for young athletes looking to elevate their performance on the competition mats.

This isn’t just another class—it’s a focused training session where I’ll personally coach the techniques, strategy, mindset, and intensity that have helped develop successful competitors over the last decade.

Class Details:

* Saturdays | 9:30–10:30 AM
* Ages 7–14
* Limited to just 8 athletes
* Schedule will be adjusted around weekends we’re traveling to compete.

Pricing:

* 10-Class Pack: $200
* Single Class: $30

Registration Priority:

1. North River students with a 10-class pack
2. North River students purchasing individual classes
3. Outside students (space permitting)

With only 8 spots available, every athlete will receive plenty of individual coaching and attention.

Private Lessons Also Available

Looking for even more individualized instruction? I also have limited availability for private lessons. Whether you’re a beginner, hobbyist, or high-level competitor, each session is tailored to your specific goals and designed to help you improve as efficiently as possible.

It truly takes a community to raise great kids. ❤️🥋

One of the greatest privileges we have at North River Jiu-Jitsu is getting to invest in children long after the school bell rings. Our After School Program isn’t just about providing a place to go—it’s about giving kids positive mentors, helping them build confidence, develop leadership skills, learn teamwork, solve problems, and grow into respectful young men and women.

Every afternoon includes:
🚌 School pickup
📖 Homework time
🥋 Jiu-Jitsu class
🤝 Leadership & social skill development
😊 A safe, encouraging environment where every child is known and valued

We’re currently picking up from:
• Williams Elementary
• North River Charter
• Palmetto Charter
• Rowlette Academy
• HOLA Elementary

Don’t see your child’s school? Reach out! If it’s within our route, we’ll do our best to make it happen.

We’re also excited to share that we still have one full scholarship available for a child who could truly benefit from our After School Program.
