Recognizes an educator who models professionalism, accountability, and high expectations for all students while demonstrating a strong commitment to student success, schoolwide systems, and our shared responsibility of helping every Hawk achieve.

🤝 Hawk Helper Award – Denise Hisle
Recognizes a staff member who is always willing to lend a helping hand, support colleagues, and step in wherever needed. Her positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to go above and beyond help make BCMS a stronger community.

Recognizes a support staff member whose dedication, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond are at the heart of our school. Her behind-the-scenes efforts support our students, staff, and families and help make BCMS a better place every day.

Selected students from Mrs. Cobb’s and Mr. Zonta’s classes got an exciting introduction to the ESE life skills program today!

The students visited Mrs. Jordan and the Cafe Staff at Hawk’s Landing Cafe for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the kitchen. They learned how to gear up by putting on their aprons and hairnets and practiced the proper procedures for handwashing.

Originally launched 5 years ago at Mrs. Cobb’s request, we are proud to be offering this unique program in the School District of Manatee County.

A massive thank you to School District of Manatee County Food and Nutrition Services and BCMS Cafe Staff for making this incredible hands-on learning experience possible for our students. 🍽️👏

🎉 Huge thank you to our incredible community!

This past Saturday, our Buffalo Creek Middle School TSA chapter spent the day at the Market Walk Publix raising funds for our program. Once again, our community showed up in a massive way!

Because of your amazing generosity from 10am to 8pm, our students achieved some incredible goals:

💰 Raised nearly $2,000 in donations!
🎟️ Sold 13 community coupon cards!
✉️ Distributed numerous sponsorship letters to local supporters!
🤝 Formed valuable new connections with local neighbors and leaders!

These funds directly support our students, meaning Buffalo Creek will send more competitors to States and Nationals this year to showcase exactly what our talented students can do! 🏆🚀

💙 Help Us Honor Our Local Heroes! 🇺🇸
On September 11th, our Global Perspectives students are hosting a special reception of honor for local law enforcement officers and first responders.

We need your help filling gift bags to show our deepest gratitude!

Items Needed:
Bags: Red, white, or blue lunch-bag-sized gift bags 🛍️
Stationery: Small notepads and pens 📝
Snacks: Individually wrapped packages of crackers and cookies 🍪
Freshness: Gum and mints 🍬

How to Donate:

Drop-off: Bring items directly to our school office.

Ship: Have them delivered via Amazon to Joseph Baker (Pre-AICE Global Perspectives / Advanced World History).

Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us support those who protect and serve our community every day!

🎶 Instrument Selection Night at Buffalo Creek Middle School!

This night was the perfect kickoff to our student's musical journey!

Our Instrument Fitting Night is a "try before you buy" experience. We brought in music professionals to help students hold, play, and test out every instrument we offer to find their absolute perfect fit. 🥁🎷
