The Sunshine State Young Readers program develops student interest in reading for pleasure by exposing them to a wide range of appropriate literature. Students are encouraged to listen to these books read to them, read them in a small group setting, or read independently to develop skills in fluency and comprehension. We call these books Sunshine Books and after the students read the books, they quiz on AR, and students who earn a 80% or higher earn a Brag Tag! They can collect all of them!

First Brag Tag winner of the school year is Jayda from Mrs. Ciasto’s class. Way to go, Jayda!!!!

It was a wonderful first week back at Palm View. From welcoming our new team members, to celebrating our success, to learning new things, and even joining with our community members, we made the most of our first week. We also had surprise student guests who reminded us what is like to be a kid in school 🥹. Now, we eagerly await our students! School starts Monday!!!!

Safety First: What Families Need to Know About E-Bikes
School District of Manatee County

As the popularity of electric bicycles, e-scooters, and other micromobility devices continues to grow among students, the School District of Manatee County is encouraging families to prioritize safety and understand the laws governing their use.

With more students using e-bikes and electric rideables to travel to and from school, the School District is sharing important information to help parents and students ride responsibly, reduce crashes, and protect themselves and others.

Please note that once students arrive to campus, they must walk their e-bikes, e-scooters, and bikes to the designated area.

🐾 Palm View Before & After School Care registration is now open for students in Pre-K through 8th grade!

Weekly rates:

• Full program—AM and PM: $80 for the first child and $70 for each additional child
• Morning only: $45 for the first child and $35 for each additional child
• Afternoon only: $65 for the first child and $55 for each additional child
• Non-refundable registration fee: $50

Morning care opens at 6:30 AM, and all students must be picked up by 6:00 PM. Seats are limited!

Registration forms are available online or on campus. We will also have a registration table at Back to School on Thursday, August 6, from 5:00-7:00 PM.
