Gratitude: "It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness at night, ..." Psalm 92:1-2

Disappointment used to have us focusing on our lack and each injustice or insult we weathered at the hand of someone else. Yet, when we cultivate an attitude of gratitude it causes praise to rise up within us.

Is God showing you a relationship where your expectations are leading you to disappointment? Can you learn to accept where your friends and loved ones are in life? Are you willing to love the real them and not just the image of who you want them to be?

"Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! For he satisfies the longing soul and the hungry soul he fills with good things." Psalm 107:8-9

Gratitude for God's guidance.
Thank You God for the things I am learning about walking with You. Thank You that my life is not a sprint. I don't have to have everything figured out now. I see that I am in training for a marathon and that You are the coach equipping me day by day. Father, help me to follow You as I hear your voice and see the direction You are leading me in. Thank You that You are a good shepherd and can direct my path. Amen

Micah 6:8 "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humble with your God?"

A Prayer of thanksgiving for today.
Dear God, thank you that I am new on the inside. My heart is new and wants to love You and please You with how I live my life. Thank you for working out my salvation- working on my character. You have not left me to figure it out on my own. Thank you that I have peace with You, God, and You now see me through the eyes of Jesus. Please help me today to walk in the grace You've provided and help me to honor You in all I do. Amen.

We had a wonderful time at the LA Festival of Books. I talked to readers and signed every book we had on site. Thank you to Reading Glass Books for a fun weekend of connections. Now, we’re taking the Catalina Island Ferry for the rest of Sunday, getting back to Long Beach near midnight. It’s been an exciting adventure
