Join us tonight for the Back to School Celebration! The evening begins with a Middle School and High School New Families Orientation at 6:30 p.m. in The Lighthouse, followed by the Back to School Celebration at 7 p.m. in the Student Activities Center (SAC) and the Middle School parking lot.

*New families: Enter through the High School entrance (Gate 2). Reserved parking and campus signage will be available.

Our students were up to incredible things this summer! ☀️

Olivia Leon ’28 turned her heart for serving into action by launching Kickstart Dreams and partnering with the Momawesome Foundation and Corazones de Servicio to bring Campamento Lela to life in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The free weeklong camp blessed nearly 100 students with meals, activities, school supplies, and the love of Christ, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We couldn’t be more proud of the impact Olivia is making, both here and around the world. 💚

BACK TO SCHOOL CELEBRATION IS ALMOST HERE! 🎉

We had an incredible time celebrating together last year, and we can't wait to do it all again on Friday, Aug. 7 as we kick off a new school year and Westminster Christian School's 65th anniversary celebration!

The evening begins with a middle school and high school orientation for new students and families at 6:30 p.m. in The Lighthouse, followed by the Back to School Celebration at 7 p.m. in the Student Activities Center (SAC) and the Middle School parking lot.

Enjoy dinner, food trucks with sweet treats available for purchase, and an unforgettable fireworks show. We can't wait to celebrate with our Warrior family!

Our foreign language students traded the classroom for Spain! 🇪🇸

Over two and a half weeks, students immersed themselves in Spanish culture while taking classes entirely in Spanish at the University of Salamanca. Along the way, they explored Madrid, Toledo, and Porto, Portugal, experiencing history, culture, and daily life firsthand by interacting with locals, trying new foods, and embracing each destination.

Michael Acosta ‘16 and John Raine ‘16 founded The Scent Standard, and fellow alumni Daniel Sanchez ‘12 and Victoria Verdeja ‘13 have each played an important role in the company’s success. Through Central Air & Repair, Daniel led The Scent Standard’s initial HVAC installations, while Victoria, through Verdeja & Co., developed the brand, strategy, and communications that helped bring the vision to life.

Today, current Westminster student Ila Urquidi ‘27 is also gaining hands-on experience by assisting with The Scent Standard’s content creation.

Now, that story has come full circle. Last week, The Scent Standard’s signature scent system was installed in The Lighthouse Performing Arts Center, allowing future Warriors to experience the work of Westminster alumni every time they walk through its doors.

Please join us in welcoming Alyssa Vargas as Westminster’s new Chief Financial Officer, effective August 1. With more than 15 years of executive leadership experience, Alyssa has led finance, operations, and organizational strategy for high-growth companies, building strong financial systems and helping organizations navigate growth and transformation. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and brings a strong commitment to financial stewardship in mission-driven organizations. Alyssa is also an active member of Old Cutler Presbyterian Church, where she serves in the children’s ministry.

It was a special reunion on campus as Bruce Kaplan ‘74 and his son, David Kaplan ‘09, returned to Westminster. David had the chance to reconnect with his former baseball coach, Emil, making the visit even more meaningful.

Bruce and David both played baseball at Westminster, and now David’s son, Harry, is getting a taste of campus life while attending summer camp. Even if your family doesn’t live nearby, wcsmiami_camp is a great way for kids to experience the Westminster community and create memories of their own.
