Field Day fun! ☀️

What better way to celebrate the end of another wonderful school year than with teamwork, laughter, friendly challenges, and plenty of water games?

Dressed in their team colors, students came together for our beloved Field Day on the last day of school.

As summer continues, we wish all our families a season filled with adventure, rest, and sunshine. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back this fall! 💛

Last weekend, we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026—a milestone filled with gratitude and more than a few tears. 💛

Students shared memories from their years together, parents offered heartfelt words, and teachers reflected on the journey that brought these young people to this moment. One teacher spoke about the challenges they faced as a class over the years and how each obstacle became an opportunity to grow.

As they leave Sunrise and head to high schools of their choice, we celebrate not only their academic accomplishments, but the remarkable individuals they have become.
They leave with strong foundations in learning, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and the confidence to navigate an ever-changing world with courage and purpose.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! ✨

Each year at Sunrise School of Miami, every class brings a play to life—and it is a deeply meaningful part of the curriculum ✨

Through the process of rehearsing and performing, students develop confidence, memory, speech, presence, collaboration, and the ability to work together as a unified class. They learn to project their voices, embody characters, memorize lines, and step courageously into performance.

Each play is thoughtfully chosen to reflect the developmental stage and curriculum of the grade, allowing students to connect more deeply with the stories and themes they are exploring throughout the year.

Handwork, fresh air, and a gentle breeze—a delightful combination 🧶

As the school year draws to a close, our students continue creating with growing confidence and skill. After months of practice, their hands move with intention, patience, and care.

From knitting and crocheting to embroidery, children bring joy and inspiration into every stitch.

At Sunrise School of Miami, Screen-Free Week is more than a yearly event—it has been part of our everyday rhythm for over 20 years 🌿

Long before “digital detox” became a trend, we chose to protect childhood by creating spaces where imagination, movement, creativity, and human connection could flourish without screens.

Here, children spend their days building forts, creating stories, climbing trees, painting, gardening, crafting, singing, exploring nature, and engaging deeply with the world and with one another.

A screen-free environment also supports academic learning by strengthening focus, memory, problem-solving, creativity, and the ability to engage deeply with lessons and hands-on experiences.

A beautiful moment from our May Faire Festival with Josh Torres, Dennis Rodrigues, Brenda Lampon, Senior Advocate representing Mayor Daniela Levine Cava, and Natalia Duran.

We are so grateful to Brenda for joining us, spending time with our community, and sharing such heartfelt support for Sunrise School of Miami. It meant so much to have her with us and to feel her genuine belief in our mission.

We also want to sincerely thank mayordlc Mayor Daniella Levine Cava for her support and for recognizing the importance of our work. Her willingness to stand with schools and communities like ours is deeply appreciated.

At Sunrise, we believe in educating the whole child with care, creativity, dignity, and purpose. Moments like this remind us how meaningful it is when community leaders believe in that vision too.

Thank you, Brenda and Mayor Levine Cava, for helping us celebrate a beautiful day of joy, tradition, and community. We hope to see you again next year!
