Beyond the Walls: A Celebration of Artistic Voice

ArtSouth invites you to view an extraordinary collection of works from the Everglades Correctional Institution Art Dormitory, sponsored by ArtSouth. This final show of the season celebrates the dedication and artistic growth of program participants within the only residential art dormitory of its kind in the Florida Department of Corrections.

After showcasing in some of Miami’s most prestigious venues, Kadja has “come back to roost” at Perrine Community House, the very space that hosted his debut in January 2025. Since his first show, Kadja has moved to amaze his audience with evolving surrealistic compositions. Kadja demonstrates how he is mastering his craft to redefine boundaries of imagination.

Yesterday at our Career & College Exploration in Architecture & Engineering workshop, we hosted a Children of Incarcerated Parents event with Christina Santiago from ArtSouth.

We were especially proud to see children of incarcerated individuals transform recyclable materials into incredible works of art!
