We’re thrilled to welcome authors Matthew Lasley and Jena Benton for a night of storytelling and literacy activities. This will be a wonderful opportunity for families to engage in reading, enjoy a light meal together, and for students to meet the authors and receive new books. I am pleased to recognize Richard Strick as February’s Migrant Education and IEA Student of the Month. Richard is an honor roll student and a pleasure to work with. He consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic both in and out of the classroom. When he is not focused on his studies, Richard is an active member of the boys’ varsity hockey team. 🏒📕✏️In addition to maintaining his own academic success, he also takes the time to tutor and support other students, demonstrating leadership and a genuine commitment to helping others. Richard is a motivated, and driven individual, and I look forward to seeing his continued growth and future success.🎉

We hope you can join us! Local author Brooke Hartman will be celebrating literacy with the Migrant Education and Indian Education families on Thursday, January 15, 2026. We will provide a light meal, and every student will have a chance to meet with the author and receive new books!
