As we close out the school year, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible community at Pioneer Peak Elementary. Every day, our dedicated parents and staff pour their whole hearts into supporting students and helping them grow into successful, capable young people ready to take on life.
Our Peak Promise reminds us of the values we strive to live each day:
“I promise to cooperate with others, learn self-control, I will be honest, make my attitude positive, and be respectful and responsible, so I can climb the peak to success.” 🏔️
These words are more than a promise — they are reflected in the kindness, teamwork, perseverance, and care we see throughout our school every single day.
Thank you to our families, staff, and students for making Pioneer Peak such a special place to learn, grow, and succeed together. ♥️ let’s have the best LAST day!

The whole school was invited to watch the State Trooper helicopter land on our field. 🚁

What’s this??
Just our exciting Kindergarten classrooms! There is no shortage of FUN learning here at Pioneer Peak this time of year! Our fabulous kindergarten team put together these “theme days” every year! Glow day, space day, safari day, camp out day and many more. These days build excitement for school, encourage imagination, and create meaningful connections to math, science, reading and social skills. They also bring smiles, laughter, and lots of JOYful learning into our classrooms. 🌟

This just in.... this year boundary exemption application will open on MONDAY APRIL 13th! Get you boundary exemption in, school registration will open on July 1st.
Boundary exemption applications are accepted and reviewed annually, with decisions made in August just before the school year begins. Even if your student attends Pioneer Peak already, you must submit a boundary exemption every year. We will continue to honor boundary exemptions for students who are already attending Pioneer Peak.
Approval is based on available space at each grade level. For example, if a grade level has three classrooms with 30 students each, we may not be able to accommodate additional boundary exemptions. Our priority is to maintain balanced class sizes and ensure we can serve our in-boundary students first.
We understand that waiting until August for a decision can be challenging. This timeline allows us to accurately account for enrollment and staffing. We encourage families to have a backup plan in place, just in case. I will contact families in August once enrollment numbers are confirmed and decisions can be made.
Registering early—right when enrollment opens in July—helps us greatly. Please help spread the word!
If you have any questions about boundary exemptions, feel free to contact our front office at 907-861-5700.
