At our Fall Faire meeting last week, parents helped our BPG decide on activities each class or grade will offer. The BPG has supplies for many of the activities, so please come see one of us or email [email protected] so we can meet and go through the BPG closet.
The BPG is offering each class $50.00 to help offset expenses for any supplies you need to purchase for your class activities. Again, contact us at the email above for details if needed.
Our next check-in meeting for Fall Faire will be on September 8th at 3:30 in Ms. Sundquist's room - at least one parent from each class is encouraged to attend.

Kindergarten - Soup and rolls
1st Grade - Wands and Crowns
2nd Grade - Swords (one room is sword construction, the other room is sword decoration)
3rd Grade - Petting Zoo
4th Grade - Leaf Mobiles and Temporary Fall Tattoos
5th Grade - Fall Necklaces (made with acorns and marbles) and egg carton mushrooms
6th Grade - Bake Sale
7th Grade - Drinks
8th Grade - Hot Food

This one is a bit longer, but there's so much to be thankful for and so much to put out! Monday: First day of Kindergarten and 1st grade, fall faire planning meeting at 3:30pm and BPG Board meeting at 4pm. A big day for all to be excited for!

It's time to get the Kindergarten playground all setup. There are bushes to clear out and some small trees to be removed (nothing thicker than a forearm). THIS SATURDAY, the 22nd, at 10 am we will have some machines there to begin clearing it out. Please bring yourselves, large children, tools, machines, wheelbarrows, trucks or anything else to the school and help us get this playground setup in time for Kindergarten to begin on Monday! Post below with what you can bring to help, any time you can give is appreciated. See you then!

Thank you to Justin and Tracy for running an amazing hot dog stand today! Oh, there was also an open house! Thank you all for coming today, we hope you all enjoyed seeing the new building and students, staff, and teachers enjoyed seeing each other again. Welcome to all the new families joining us this year, we are all so excited! See most of you on Monday! Kindergarten and 1st grade on the 24th.

We're going to be at Birchtree tomorrow, Friday, August 14th, to organize the new BPG storage area. If you can come by sometime after 1pm we'll just be taking stuff out of the room, organizing it into bins and then back into the room it goes. We'd love any help from those who are available. The Parents Guild would like to share some important upcoming dates. 
Open House for Birchtree Charter School will be on August 14.
The first day of school is August 17.
Our first BPG meeting for the school year is on August 24 at 4 PM.
We will have a Fall Faire meeting that afternoon as well, at 3:30 for anybody who is curious what fall fair is all about and interested in helping out with this fun community event.

Teachers and staff were hard at work today getting the new building ready. 2nd through 8th starts on August 17th, kindergarten and 1st starts on the 24th! Getting excited for everyone to see the new Birchtree!

Come join everyone at 6pm tonight for the Community Potluck. Bring your favorite family dish if you can and celebrate some of our wonderful parent volunteers. The whole family is welcome and there will be some Greek inspired chicken provided.
