PJMS families, don’t forget that Picture Day is tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19! Students will have their school pictures taken during the school day.

🎻 Reminder: PJMS Orchestra Meeting Today!

PJMS Families — just a quick reminder that our Orchestra Informational Meeting is today from 4:00–5:30 PM at PJMS!

Students are encouraged to come along, learn more about orchestra, check out the instruments, and even try some out. 🎶

We’re excited to offer orchestra at PJMS this year and hope to see you this afternoon!

Dear PJMS Families,

We are excited to announce that we will be offering orchestra as an elective this year. If your student is enrolled in or interested in taking orchestra, please join us this Friday August 7th from 4-5:30pm for an informational meeting. Students are welcome to attend this meeting so that they can learn about orchestra instruments and possibly try some of them! See the attached flyer for additional details. We know it is still a bit before school starts, but if your child needs school supplies, make sure to mark your calendar and register your kid(s) for your school supplies through the United Way Stuff the Bus event.

School supply lists are posted on the district website as well.

Please note that registration is REQUIRED to attend this event. You may register your students HERE: https://youth-360.dreamclass.io/.../admission.../form/bJadKt

Mat-Su Borough School District PUBLIC AND CHARTER school students ONLY may receive backpacks and school supplies, according to the supply lists provided by MSBSD schools.

If you are a HOMESCHOOL family, your students will not be eligible for backpacks/supplies. Homeschool families should inquire with their chosen hub or homeschool advisor about utilizing their homeschool financial allotments to purchase items needed.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible community partners and sponsors who helped make our 2026 PJMS Honor Roll Celebration such a special event for our students!

This year, students who earned a 3.5 GPA or higher were rewarded with an ice cream party and movie celebration, while students who maintained a 4.0 all year were also treated to a pizza party and kettle corn celebration. These moments matter because they recognize the hard work, perseverance, and commitment our students have shown all year long.

We are so grateful for the amazing local businesses, organizations, and individuals who donated to support our students and celebrate academic excellence at Palmer Junior Middle School. Your generosity helps us create memorable experiences that motivate and encourage our students to continue striving for success.

A very special thank you also goes to Jillian Ling for organizing all of the rewards and helping coordinate this entire celebration. Her hard work behind the scenes made this event possible!

PJMS is incredibly fortunate to be part of such a supportive community that continues to invest in kids and believe in their success. Thank you for helping us celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students!

📣 PJMS Field Day Reminder! 🌭☀️

Just a reminder for Wednesday, May 20th Field Day activities:

🥤 6th grade students are asked to bring drinks
🍪 7th grade students are asked to bring individually wrapped snacks

We will be providing hot dogs for all students as part of our last day of school celebration! 🌭

This information was included in the Weekly ParentSquare message, but we wanted to send out one more reminder to help make sure we have plenty of drinks and snacks for students to enjoy during Field Day.
