Huge shout out to Jayme our amazing farrier who not only came out to give the horses their pedicures but spent time explaining and giving some of our barn crew hands on experience. We all agree Jayme is super hero.

Last week was jam packed and of course my photography skills were lacking.
But here’s a quick snap shot,

We welcomed two new members to our herd (more info to come!)
Lessons… lessons and more lessons (I love that no matter if it’s a beautiful day or pouring rain these students are dedicated to getting their horse time in!)
We had our first of two Lucky 2 Shoes Summer Barrel Series events at the Alaska State Fair. Next one is this Thursday! Only 4 more races left in the series.
We welcomed a new instructor Olivia Bird to the barn (She’s amazing and we will talk more about her soon. 🤓)
And PEN expansions! We have been dropping trees, bush whacking and clearing a large expansion for our boys pen. ( below you’ll see our supervisors making sure we aren’t missing a single grassy spot they can claim as their own.
Next expansion will be the mares pen!

Tuesday- Barn hours 12- 6:30
Wednesday- Barn hours 12-6:30
Thursday- L2S Barrel Series
Saturday- Barn hours 12-4

*Reminder- Lucky 2 Shoes is closed this week 5/13-5/19 for our quarterly mental health reset. Horses and people a like.

So no barn hours, or lessons this week but we will be so excited to see everyone next week to kick off our summer schedule and our first Barrel Series Event!
