Good morning everyone!

We just wanted to take a moment to share out two upcoming language opportunities.

Through BBRCTE, in partnership with the Bristol Bay Foundation and Igiugig Village Council, we are offering distance Sugt’stun and Yugtun language classes for 9th-12th grade students in LPSD, DCSD, BBBSD, and SWRSD.

We also wanted to share out an opportunity with our partners, Igiugig Village Council and BBF, for a distance Dena’ina language class.

Our last, but definitely not least, We Are Wednesday shines brightly on Jenny Shryock. Jenny is the Director for BBRCTE.

Her favorite part of working for BRBCTE is being able to work with the students, staff, and community members who make Bristol Bay home. She loves seeing students discover new skills, build friendships and connections across the region, realize their potential within the Bristol Bay economy, and grow as leaders.

Her happy places in Bristol Bay are low level beach combing in an airplane.

If she could pick up a new skill in an instant, she would pick either plumbing and heating or the ability to learn and speak multiple languages with ease (a truly polyglot!)
