🕺Prom Season💃: It’s about that time! We are hours away from an amazing night of celebration. Please take a moment to read over the flyer for important prom information. We want all students to create a night they’ll remember for years to come. There are some absolute zero tolerance policies that are in place that we want to make sure everyone is aware of. Please don’t make us the bad guys on such a special night. See you soon ⏱️

🏆Academics Award Night🏆: Sometimes you have to step back and see the full magnitude of a thing to truly appreciate it. We honored over 300 students at various grade levels who exemplified academic success for the ‘25-26 school year. Every student you see holding a 3.5 gpa or higher. We packed our gym, not because of athletics (although many of our honorees were also student athletes), but because of students dedicating themselves to their classes. We shook a lot of hands 😂 and next year we hope to shake even more. Congratulate these Bulldogs for their excellence when you get a chance!

If you have not done so, or simply want to update, please use the information in this post to get connected with us!
Text “Y” or “Yes” to 67856 to opt in to Highland messaging.

Class of 2030 🎓 👀: We couldn’t wait for them to get here so we went and got them. The incoming freshman class of 2026 got see the place they’ll get to call their Dog House for the next 4 years during our Freshman Roadshow.
What did they do? EVERYTHING! Thanks to our Link Crew, our future students got a chance to experience all that Highland will have to offer them on day one (and beyond) of the ‘26-27 school year. This is another proactive effort to support the youth that make up our community.
If you see your student tag em and let em know, “You’re a Bulldog now!” 🐶

📌Pin it to your calendar! We are days away from the BSUxASB “SOULFEST”. To say a good time will be had would be an understatement. Best of all, this is a community event. All are welcomed to come and take part in the festivities as our BSU and ASB bring Black History Month to a close in a way only Bulldogs can. See you there!

Bulldog Brilliance: Our team of scholars put their brains together at the AVHSD Districtwide “Black365 Knowledge Bowl” preliminary round today at Eastside High School. In doing so they earned a spot in the finals which will be held tomorrow evening at 4:30pm at Eastside High School. Great job to the team and the coaches. Let’s see if we can bring a trophy home!

💡Freshman Focus Day💡: Let’s talk about support. We understand that the road to academic success is different for every student, and we know that freshman year can be one of the toughest years to navigate. Rather than sit by and watch a dynamic class of young people try to figure it out on their own Bulldog teachers, administration and support staff went all in and put together an entire day dedicated to guiding our freshman towards their most productive path. (And we had a blast doing it 🙂↕️)

Tools for success to build high school years of purpose and belonging. This is what seeing a need and meeting a need looks like. Special thanks to Mrs. Cole (9th grade English) and her focus team for bringing this to life. Our freshman deserved it.

Today is the day our Bulldog, Evalina Chavez, signed her commitment letter to play softball at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida!!! Evalina was surrounded by family, coaches and friends as she formally accepted her offer to continue her pursuit of being an exemplary student athlete. This is what supporting our students is all about. Thank you for allowing us to be the place to help you grow, Evalina. Stetson University, you’re getting a real one!!!
