Knotted and Stitched

Been a busy little crochet elf whipping up some Christmas gifts! Loving my hooks and want more! Maybe Santa will leave some in my stocking this year 😉

My new fave! Blocking! It's so cool to see how nice and neat the projects look after a good blocking. And the steamer is so satisfying to use. I grabbed these blocking foam pads from Amazon (they came with T pins) and I had this steamer for cleaning and found the clothes attachment to be perfect for blocking my crochet. I love the before and afters 😍

Results from the fair! While I definitely wanted more, I am content with my ribbons. I was upset that my colorful shawl and sweater didn't receive anything whatsoever, and the feedback from the judge was highly discouraging. She wrote that my sweater had the colors for a boy and my stitches were "too loose" on the lacey shawl. It can be disheartening when you feel like your work isn't being judged fairly but I am already planning some big pieces to submit next year. And maybe I'll try to submit to another fair as well to see what happens 🤷‍♀️

Working on my 13 days of Poe from . This is my first time trying cross stitch over my crochet and it is really fun! Hopefully my work turns out the way I want, but either way I am really enjoying this halloween crochet count down! I've gotten so many little goodies in my box so far and can't wait for the rest 🖤❤️🖤

Taking many firsts in my crochet experience. Yesterday, for the first time ever, I entered in my crochet work to be judged at the local fair! I'm like beyond nervous to see what others think of my work so I can not wait to see the results in October! I entered 4 entries, and I'm crossing my fingers for at least 1 ribbon 🎗😅

Made with a herrschners crochet kit (check out their awesome kits online!) in a shell stitch with a pineapple lace border. Shown on a queen sized bed, worth every second spent on it ♡
