Important news…

On Wednesday, April 8th, the Palm Springs City Council will meet in Closed Session to discuss a "Real Property Negotiation" to purchase important portions of the historic Town & Country Center (1948, Paul R. Williams and A. Quincy Jones). While we are cautiously optimistic, this may bode very well for the ultimate rehabilitation of this important modernist landmark which PSPF has fought so long to preserve.

Modernism Week 2026 is over, but we can’t stop thinking of all the incredible people and events that it brought to the Coachella Valley! The Coachella Valley is buzzing in anticipation of Modernism Week, and we are SO EXCITED to welcome all the visitors and locals who will be coming together to celebrate and discover this important era in architecture and design history.

“Modernism and the Future of Housing: a Symposium” will focus on how we can adapt the lessons and principles of the early Modernists to the challenges that face us now.

Following the Symposium, there is an optional self-guided tour of 7 locations that feature a variety of Modernist design elements and solutions that will be discussed in the talk.
