The 2019-2020 school year has sure been one full of new challenges for all. In spite of all that is going on, we want to thank all the band students and families for giving their best efforts through this time of distance learning and continuing your education. Never had we thought that music would be silenced in the bandroom towards the end of the year but we certainly cannot wait until we are able to make music live once again!

Congratulations to all the eighth graders that promoted! You have been had such an impact in the band program and look forward to your contribution to your high school band programs! You will be tremendously missed! (By the way if you have not contacted your high school band director, please find their information in our Google Classroom.)

To all musicians, I hope you continue making music for years to come because the world needs YOU! You are what is right in the world. You are the ones that help bring communities together. You are the ones who put smiles and tears of joy on people's faces. You are making a positive difference! Keep making music and making the world a better place through music.

Congratulations! We made it through! Look forward to the 2020-2021 academic year and for the opportunities it will bring!

With so many current unknowns throughout the world and with the cancellations of our upcoming festivals (this Saturday and next Friday), the RCMS Desert Treasure Wind Ensemble wanted share the music they have been preparing for these festivals. Introducing Hendrik C. and Mario M. as our 2019-2020 Head and Assistant Drum Majors! Congratulations and we look forward to you leading the marching band in the fall!

We also want to thank Yamilet H. (Head DM) and Ismael R. (Assistant DM) for being great leaders this year! They will be missed but know they will be strong assets to their high school bands!

Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble for receiving a Superior Rating at the Regionals Festival yesterday at Palm Desert High School! Out of 42 possible graded categories by the four judges, the Wind Ensemble earned 40 A's and 2 B's total in their concert performance and sight reading! So proud of our students and their accomplishments! Join us on May 23rd at 7 PM at RCMS to hear all the of bands as we perform our final performance of the year!
