We’ve heard that throughout , and it really captures what makes this conference special.

The community is what makes geothermal. Across sessions, panels, and plenaries, we’ve heard it again and again: we’re stronger together, and moving geothermal forward will take all of us.

Over the past few nights, we’ve seen that spirit come to life, from the opening of the Exhibit Hall to the Monday Night Mixer.

What will it take to turn geothermal policy into projects?

Today at , during A New Era for Geothermal Policy, sponsored by ClearPath, the geothermal community came together to explore how federal policy is shaping the industry’s next chapter.

The Federal Policy Fireside Chat, moderated by Lisa Epifani of ClearPath, featured Kyle Haustveit of the U.S. Department of Energy and Bill Groffy of the Bureau of Land Management for a discussion on the Administration’s vision for geothermal, opportunities on federal lands, and what it will take to scale geothermal development across the U.S.

The conversation then moved from policy to projects, with Caity Smith of XGS Energy moderating a panel featuring Jeff Crater of Quaise Energy, Bruce Kohrn of TLS Geothermics, and Zach Millimet of Darcy Solutions on how federal legislation can translate into geothermal development on the ground.
