We are incredibly proud to announce our 2026–2027 PHMS Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year!

🍎 Teacher of the Year — Ms. Carleton
Ms. Carleton is one of our outstanding 8th grade ELA teachers, our Language Arts Department Head, and the sponsor of our Writing Club. Her passion for literacy, leadership, and helping students find their voice makes a lasting impact on our Panthers every day. 📚✏️

🌟 Support Staff of the Year — Mr. Salgado
Mr. Salgado serves as our Bilingual Assistant, supporting and connecting with students and families every day. But his impact reaches far beyond his primary role! He also serves as the sponsor for Yearbook and Spelling Bee, giving even more of his time and talents to our students and school community. 🐾📖🏆

🎃👻 WE’RE COLLECTING DONATIONS! 👻🎃

Our first annual Trunk-or-Treat was such a huge success that we’re bringing it back for Year 2! 🐾🍬

We’re excited to once again welcome local community families with elementary-aged children to Palm Harbor Middle School for a fun, safe, and FREE evening of Halloween fun! 🎃🚗🍭

To help make this event a success, we are looking for donations of individually wrapped candy and small, kid-friendly toys/prizes to fill our trunks and treat our little trick-or-treaters!

📅 Trunk-or-Treat: October 13th
🍬 Donations accepted beginning September 1st

Every donation—big or small—helps us create a memorable night for the children in our community!

🐾 Our Club Stroll was a HUGE success! 🐾

Our Panthers had the opportunity to explore all that Palm Harbor Middle School has to offer beyond the classroom! Students visited club tables, asked questions of current student members, learned more about the activities available to them, and signed up to get involved.

We know that students who participate in school activities tend to experience greater school connectedness, stronger academic outcomes, and higher rates of school success. Getting involved helps students build friendships, develop leadership skills, discover new interests, and feel like they are an important part of their school community.

We’re excited to see our Panthers find their people, discover their passions, and get connected! 💛🖤
