📢 College of the Desert Athletics — Sideline Policy Update

Starting immediately, sideline access at all Roadrunners home events will be limited to approved individuals only — including student-athletes, coaching staff, athletic department personnel, and credentialed persons.

This policy is in place to:
✅ Protect the safety of our student-athletes, coaches, and officials
✅ Keep sidelines clear for game operations and emergency access
✅ Maintain a focused, professional environment during competition

Fans and family members are encouraged to cheer loudly from the stands — that's where the best energy happens anyway! 🙌

Questions about credentialing or media access? Reach out to the Athletics office in advance of the event.

🏈 HOME OPENER UNDER THE LIGHTS. 🏈

Tough one tonight as College of the Desert Football battled San Bernardino Valley College in the home opener at the new COD Football Field, falling 57–16. ❤️💛

The Roadrunners showed fight all night, with Noah Vaughn-Israel scoring on a 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and Alonso Cuevas adding a 1-yard rushing touchdown late in the fourth. Kael Jahn also connected on a 19-yard field goal. 🏈🔥

We appreciate everyone who came out to Palm Desert and brought the energy for a memorable opening night at our new home.

Malakai Martinez put on a show Tuesday night, recording the first hat trick of his collegiate career as College of the Desert Men's Soccer earned a dominant 7-1 home victory over College of the Canyons!⚽️🔥

Martinez scored three times in the opening 22 minutes, while Jonathan Price, Jairo Alcaraz (2) and Nicholas Nordell added goals in the Roadrunners’ first home win of the season.
