I Can Learn

I Can Learn Counseling and Tutoring first began as a tutoring business in 2009 and was created by Teresa Adams-Ridila, who has been a California Credentialed teacher since 1993. Teresa Adams, I Can Learn Director, also holds a California Credential in School Counseling, having been previously employed as a school counselor. She created the tutoring program in order to "fill the gap" she saw forming when local school districts drastically reduced summer school and after school tutoring programs. I Can Learn soon became well known for using counseling strategies to quite often assist children with special needs achieve success and improved motivation through creative academic tutoring strategies. In addition, Teresa Adams subsequently became licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She also became certified in Play Therapy and according to February 2024 a4pt.org information, she is one of only four Registered Play Therapists in the Coachella Valley area. Though currently employed full time as an alternative education teacher, Ms. Adams-Ridila maintains her tutoring program as well as her private practice. Teresa currently provides various individual and group services and works with an N.A.S.M. Certified Personal Trainer on a uniquely innovative approach to proprioceptive and vestibular sensory training as well as 'life/anger' management.
