Due to the impending threat of Hurricane Idalia, and with the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families as our top priority, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close the center for Wednesday, August 30th, 2023. This decision has taken into consideration the information provided by the Flagler County Emergency Management and the potential impact on our area from late Tuesday night and throughout the day on Wednesday.
- Tropical Storm Force Winds, potentially upwards of 57 mph, with gust up to 73 mph
- Possibility of Tornados
- Possibility of Power Outages
We understand that this closure may disrupt your plans and routines, but we believe that it is essential to ensure the safety of everyone involved. We will continue to monitor the situation and will keep you updated about any changes. We anticipate re-opening on Thursday, August 31st, 2023, for normal business hours.

We have rescheduled our adoption event with Flagler Humane Society! Join us today, December 9th between 2pm - 6pm to meet some awesome adoptable pets. We are still accepting donations of some much needed supplies at our school located at 170 Old Kings Rd South, Flagler Beach FL 32136. Stop by with the kiddos and say hi!

Thank you to Ms. Alice and all of our volunteers that made Sunshine’s very first Thanksgiving basket brigade a major success! Thank you to all of our families that have donated to our mission and to those that have nominated families in need of a hot thanksgiving dinner that would not have otherwise received one. Great job everyone!!!

Good morning! Sunshine Academy of Flagler is asking for your help. This year Sunshine would like to give back to our Flagler County neighbors who have had a bit of a rough year. Our hope is to help as many families as we can to have a hot meal for Thanksgiving. We are asking for donations to fill our baskets! Do you have any canned goods, or stuffing boxes you won't be using? Did you get a free turkey this year and now have one too many? We could sure use some boxed mashed potatoes and candied yam packs, gravy and green beans would be awesome too! Anything you can do to help in our Thanksgiving basket brigade will be really appreciated. Stop by 170 Old Kings Rd South in Flagler beach with your much needed donations.
