A few minutes can save a life.

EMTs are trained to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, including:
✅ Slow or absent breathing
✅ Pinpoint pupils
✅ Unresponsiveness

They provide lifesaving care by:
💨 Opening the airway
🫁 Supporting breathing
💉 Administering naloxone (Narcan®) when appropriate

🚨 Sometimes one dose—and fast action—can give someone a second chance.

What a great night for our next generation of EMS professionals! 🚑

Tonight, we welcomed a full room for our EMT Orientation as we prepare to begin classes on September 8. We’re excited to have a full roster of students ready to take on the challenge of becoming EMTs.

One of the best parts of the evening was hearing from several of our 2025 students, who returned to share their success stories and talk about where their journey has taken them since completing the program.

Their stories are a great reminder that the classroom is just the beginning. The knowledge, skills, confidence, and commitment developed throughout the program can open the door to a rewarding career serving others.

We’re excited to welcome our newest EMT class and can’t wait to see where their journey takes them!
