The University of Florida will add Early Action to its admission process, by offering early admission decisions for prospective students, UF President Ben Sasse announced today.By adopting the Early Action plan, potential first-year students who submit their applications by Nov. 1, 2024, and submit all required materials will be notified on Jan. 24, 2025, of their admissions status with UF. Unlike Early Decision, Early Action is non-binding for students.

There are only a few things you really need to bring on test day and a lot of things you'll be better off leaving at home. Be sure to bring:
Your fully charged testing device with the Bluebook? application installed (see detailed device requirements). Face covering (if required at your test center).
Your up-to-date admission ticket.
Acceptable photo ID.
Pencils or pens for scratch work.
An acceptable calculator for use on the Math section of the test (there will be an embedded graphing calculator available to use within Bluebook).
Epinephrine auto-injectors (like EpiPens) are permitted without an approved accommodations. They must be placed in a clear bag and stored under the student's desk during testing. For policies on other medications and medical devices, contact Services for Students with Disabilities.

A watch without an audible alarm. (The Bluebook application has a built-in timer that tells you exactly how much time you have left, but you might still want to time your break.)
A charging cable if your testing device can't hold a charge for 3 hours.
A bag or backpack.
A drink or snacks (for your break). A backup testing device."

"They found that the number of students who transferred that fall grew 5.3 percent compared to fall 2022. That overall growth included lateral transfers, that is, transfers between four-year institutions or between community colleges, but the surge was mainly driven by a 7.7 percent increase in upward transfer-transfers from two-year colleges to four-year institutions. Transfers also increased among students who previously stopped out of college as well as those who stayed enrolled, up 3.7 percent and 6.5 percent, respectively."
