Mark Torre has officially launched his Private Practice full-time at Mark Ernest Torre Counseling and Psychotherapy Services, LLC. He specializes in several areas, including substance and alcohol related disorders, mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma and abuse, sexuality issues, phase of life issues, married couples and LGBTQ individuals. as held positions as a primary therapist, group counselor and behavioral health specialist at numerous treatment facilities in Palm Beach County, at all the different levels of care from detox to outpatient. He employs an eclectic approach utilizing a number of therapeutic frameworks, including Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Motivational Interviewing, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Psychodynamic, Adlerian, Existential and Logotherapy. Additionally, Mark has an extraordinary knowledge of 12-Step programs and the ability to help clients integrate 12-Step recovery into professional therapeutic treatment for clients who desire that approach. Mark holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. He is both a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Master Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) in the state of Florida. Mark is also a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida to supervise mental health counseling interns as they work toward licensure. Originally from the Northeast, Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Music Performance and Sound Recording Technology from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell. He had a successful career in the music business, working in several of New York City’s most legendary recording studios and running his own audio/video installation business for many years. He is an accomplished musician, and continues to play guitar and record music, although no matter how much time he gets to play these days, it’s never enough.
