Student Government is creating an environment that provides opportunities for students to develop leadership:

By organizing and carrying out school events / activities, service projects, and inviting guest speakers who offer their practical real world experiences is how we plan to accomplish this how we are creating that environment.

Our latest meeting, we hosted local Palm Beach Gardens Council Member, Matthew Lane.

Matthew Lane has served as Chair (4 consecutive terms) and has extensive experience serving as a family law and divorce lawyer.

Council Member Lane offered us insight into the lens of Local Government and what it is like to run for office.

Palm Beach Gardens City Council meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:00pm (unless posted otherwise).

There are good reasons for attending a City Council Meeting.

Attending meetings will provide you with deeper insight into the workings of local government, including how proposals move down the pipeline (or don’t) and how the various departments interact with one another.

The Student Government Association from Palm Beach State College - Gardens Campus - invite you to attend your local City Council Meeting, you might be surprised how much you learn about the goals and objectives of your city.

SGA Annual Bingo Night is TOMORROW! Come out and join SGA as we fundraise with a couple rounds of bingo with prizes ranging from a Pandora Bracelet to a Starbucks gift card! Only $3 to play and we’ll be having multiple rounds with many chances to win large prizes! Help us fight against cancer with Relay For Life as we play a couple games of Bingo! See you then!

Thank you for those who attended our first meeting back from spring break. For those of you who couldn’t make it we had our Provost Dr. Coleman-Ferrell swear in Shelby Anyzeski (Director of Community Outreach), Antonio Salgado (Chief of Staff), and Kayla Cappiello (Executive Secretary). Thank you for stepping up in your leadership! SGA has weekly Meetings on Wednesday’s at 3:00pm in BR-118 so come and join us for our next meeting as we continue to plan for the spring semester and represent the voice of our students!
