I've been teaching for 20 years. I've always had a special interest in math, as many students enter my class stating they don't like math and leave at the end of the year thanking me for "making it seem so easy".
I am certified in elementary ed and middle school math. For the past 8 years, I have been teaching middle school math to 5th graders with an excellent success rate. The majority of my AMP students typically score level 5's. This past year, 28 out of 30 of them did with 2 students just a few points away from a 5.
A few years ago, I also began tutoring privately middle school math up through Geometry. This past year, I tutored 1 student in 8th grade math and 5 in algebra 1. Five of these students scored level 4 on their FAST/ final tests and the other student was just points away from a 4.
