Was thinking alot about Dad today and how he raised two daughters mostly by himself. He was a bit of a 'Renaissance' man for a Italian Marine with a GED education. He made sure his daughters got an education in school and outside of school. We were well rounded, learned various sports, swimming, martial arts, fishing, camping, shooting, sciences, arts, how to sew, crochet, cook, basic carpentry, basic tile work, trouble shoot home repairs, car maintenance, singing, band...he dragged us to museums, opera, arts&science shows, state fairs, political conventions, marches, whale watches. He exposed us to different religions then different denominations, so we could decide what we felt our preference would be. Then paid for church camps and got involved in the church when I did. He provided me with books, crytogram puzzles, science projects, chemist sets, tools and toys to learn from. He encouraged me in my art and my writing. He told me I could be anything I wanted to be back in a period when female cops were not really a thing. When the earlier computers started he taught us basic programing. I was blessed to have him for a Dad. I really miss him....Raye
