Dear Parents, Please remember to move clocks back one hour on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 2 a.m. This is the end of Daylight Saving Time, when the state reverts to standard time.
At 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2nd, clocks will “fall back” to 1 a.m.. This will make the evenings darker and mornings brighter. Enjoy the extra hour and have a great weekend. See you Monday.

Odyssey Inspires a New Standard for Whole-Child Health | Natural Awakenings Space & Treasure Coast Florida Odyssey Schools are redefining education in Brevard County with a Healthy School Model that nurtures the whole child through natural health principles, organic meals, and holistic learning.

Monday was a great day of professional learning for our Physical Education team — the fitness trainers behind Odyssey’s Fitness 4 Life initiative!

As part of our journey to become a National Model for Healthy Schools with a focus on natural health and wellness, our teachers participated in an engaging training on our new Science in the Gym curriculum. Led by national experts Dr. Chen and Coach Amanda, the session blended movement science, wellness education, and fun, hands-on learning designed to help students build lifelong fitness habits.

Odyssey’s Fitness 4 Life program is redefining physical education — turning gyms into labs for exploring health, strength, and the science of living well.

Excited to welcome our School of Lunch partner, Charles Barth, to Odyssey Charter School and Odyssey Prep Academy! ✨

Together with School of Lunch, we’re working to enhance our Healthy Cafés and bring even more high-quality, nutritious, and delicious food to our children. This partnership is another step forward in our commitment to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—through natural health and wellness. 💚🥗

We want to clarify that personal comments by members of the Palm Bay community serving as Odyssey board members do not reflect the position of Odyssey Charter School, Inc. Board members, like all individuals, are entitled to their personal freedom of speech, but they do not define our mission for children, or set curriculum, which follows Florida standards.

Odyssey was built upon the Montessori philosophy, which honors every child as a unique individual. Maria Montessori believed in developing independent thinkers but also believed that understanding and respecting differences is key to raising compassionate, capable adults.

For 27 years, we’ve welcomed families of all backgrounds, teaching children to appreciate the cultures, languages, and experiences of others—reflecting the best traditions of the United States as a vibrant tapestry, a nation strengthened by freedom, opportunity, and the contributions of many peoples.

Dear Odyssey Families,

Odyssey Charter School, Odyssey Preparatory Academy, and Montessori Village Green all follow the Brevard Public Schools closure policy. Since BPS has announced schools will remain open tomorrow, Odyssey schools will also be open on Monday, September 29, 2025.

As Brevard Public Schools shared:

“Many of you have been closely monitoring Tropical Depression Imelda over the past few days. Based on the latest update from the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), we are pleased to share that our area is expected to avoid any major impacts. Imelda is now trending eastward, away from the coast, which significantly reduces the wind risk to Brevard and neighboring counties.
While Monday, September 29, 2025, may still bring squally, breezy, and rainy conditions, Brevard Public Schools will remain open as scheduled.”

We will continue to monitor weather developments closely and, as always, follow the district if any changes occur. At this time, classes and school operations will proceed as normal.

🌼🐝 Pollinator Garden Update! 🐝🌼

OPA’s pollinator garden has really taken root and thrived this summer! 🌿🌸 On Friday morning, before the heat kicked in, our amazing third grade GATEway students came out to do a bit of weeding and garden care. 🌞

While working, we spotted bumble bees, dragonflies, and a stunning variety of blooming flowers. 🐝🐉🌺 Nature was buzzing—literally!

Huge thanks to our young gardeners for helping keep the space beautiful and thriving for all our pollinators. 💚🌻
