Our 4th grade scientists put their creativity, problem-solving skills, and engineering minds to work with an exciting Egg Drop Challenge! 🧪🔬

Students were challenged to design and build a protective structure that would keep an egg from breaking when dropped. They made predictions, planned their designs, tested their ideas, observed the results, and thought about how they could improve their designs.

Through this hands-on investigation, students explored gravity, motion, speed, forces, and energy while experiencing the engineering design process firsthand. Most importantly, they learned that scientists and engineers don't give up when a design doesn't work—they test, learn, redesign, and try again! 💡👏

Dear Odyssey Families,

This November, voters will decide whether to renew the existing one-mill property tax for four years. This is a renewal—not a new tax. Millage is the small portion of property taxes that stays right here in Brevard County.

The millage supports employee pay, essential programs and classroom technology, with charter schools receiving a proportionate share. Odyssey Charter School, Inc. has used these funds for salary supplements, essential operational positions, summer enrichment programs and athletics.

Dear Odyssey Families,

This November, voters will decide whether to renew the existing half-cent sales surtax. This is not a new tax.

Surtax supports secure buildings, facility improvements and technology infrastructure, with charter schools receiving a proportionate share. Odyssey Charter School, Inc. has used these restricted funds for roofs, parking lots, playground, HVAC systems. and school buses. This dedicated funding helps protect general-fund dollars used for faculty and staff salaries and benefits.

Dear Odyssey Charter School, Inc. Community,
It is that time again! Odyssey currently has one opening on our Board of Directors, and we are seeking interested candidates from the community. We are looking for individuals who are committed to Odyssey’s mission and interested in contributing their time and experience to support the continued success of our schools.
The Odyssey Board of Directors meets in downtown Melbourne at 4:30 p.m. approximately six times per year, with an additional two to three special meetings generally called as needed.
