Ever wonder why we do what we do...at Christmas?

The story of Christmas trees is fascinating! The tradition started in Germany hundreds of years ago. Tribes of people decorated trees to honor their gods, including the very powerful god Thor. The Oak of Thor was a huge tree that no one cut down! A Christian missionary named Boniface, who was there to spread the good news about Jesus Christ to the people, chopped down Thor’s oak to prove that Thor was a false god, not the true God who loved them and created them in his image! Nothing happened! They all began to believe in Jesus, and Boniface told them to use an evergreen tree to represent Christ, because its green leaves were constant and never-changing, like Christ’s love. So today we honor Jesus through evergreen trees at Christmas! Let’s praise God for His powerful love and how He always loves us, no matter what.

See You at the Pole is tomorrow (Wed. Sept. 25) morning! We will be gathering at the flag pole in front of the school office tomorrow morning to pray together for our country, school, family, friends, and anything that the Lord puts on your heart. You can come by whenever you would like and join. FCA will be there from 8:15am until the bell rings at 8:40am. This is a great opportunity to serve and lift up your campus and to publicly honor the Lord. See you tomorrow morning!

Hi Panthers!

The 1st FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) club meeting is this Wednesday before school in the Panther Rock Room in the media center. We meet every Wednesday morning before school (8:15am-8:40am) for a short devotional and to pray for each other, Heritage HS, and to encourage one another to live for Christ.

FCA tomorrow morning! See you there!

Feeding Children Everywhere event is tomorrow after school at Eau Gallie H.S. Plan to be a part of this awesome event. We will be packing meals that will be donated to thousands of children in need in Florida and around the world. And afterward their is going to be dinner and a movie outside on the big screen. It's going to be fun!

And plan on being a part of a great night of fun and service as we team up with other local FCA groups on April 19 to provide meals for those in need.
