The finale of our Walk-a-thon week was a huge hit! Thank you PTO for making it so fun for all of us.

If students still have fundraising to turn in, they can turn it in on Tuesday since there is no school tomorrow.

Prizes will be announced for the top earner & the class who earned the most later this week.

Hello Taylor Tornado Famlies!
BOOK FAIR IS HERE! The pictures show all the amazing items that will be available to purchase.
This week the students are making wish lists. Next week, September 21st-25th, during their specials they are going to shop the book fair. All the money raised for book fair will go back to the Library for Library books and Art supplies.
Please don’t forget that you can make an E-wallet which is a cashless option for the book fair. E-wallet is just like a gift card.
We also have share the fair that you can donate to so that other students can enjoy book fair as well. Books first then something fun. My hope is to get a book in every students hands.
Thank you so much for your participation in book fair.

The office staff (we were missing Mrs. Kuhn) took a break today to support a local business.
Thanks to Launch Bay Palisade for the invite! We will be back soon.

One of Taylor’s unsung heroes, Wayne, is retiring. Wayne has been a D51 maintenance man helping at Taylor for 19 years! He is always willing to fix anything or find ways to make things work. We are going to miss him! So, we surprised him yesterday with a little gift and breakfast to wish him well.

We had a staff only spirit day today for Hawaiian shirt day! Mr. Bob came ready to out do everyone.

Staff even got a little Hawaiian inspired treat. I’m sure we can all agree our Taylor staff deserves to be spoiled. 🌺

What has been a highlight so far this year?
It has been the morning mile.
❤️ Students are connecting across grade levels. The older kids have been a great help for our younger kids as they transition back into school.
❤️ Staff members are getting time to get to know kids as they walk and talk.
❤️ Families are getting time to start their day together with a healthy walk.

Taylor is so lucky to have the best teachers! They worked hard today to planning for the school year during inservice today.

Don’t worry it wasn’t all work and no play… they also did a scavenger hunt with the IB learner attributes.

We can’t wait to see you at back-to-school night on Monday!

Mr. Wilson surprised the teachers with an ice cream truck visit today! They needed a break from all their hard work.

We can’t wait to see all our families at back-to-school night on Monday, August 10th from 4-6. Kinder families please be in the library by 3:30.
